Open Your Eyes!! A 7-Eleven Story...

Was celebrating night out once again. Since everybody was buying mixers from 7 Eleven for our vodka, i decided to contribute a packet of BBQ flavoured chips to make it slightly more decadent. When we open the chips in the room, a bite of it was already crisp fatal. It was soggy and soft. I looked at the expiry. It was written July 2005. And then when i examine it again, i noticed this(picture)

Scotch tape pasted over a broken wrapper!! How on earth could they do that?! It is unethical. The store people are what?.... Owners of that 7 Eleven store?

Few months back, i wanted some Vanilla coke from the 7 Eleven near my house. But this time round, the store assistant told me to see if the coke was expired. YES!! There is expiry date, even for Coke! And what bad luck, everything i chose were all expired. She then quickly hide it away to return to the beverage vendor, i guess.

I use to fantasize about 7 Eleven when i was in secondary school. I said to myself that i would patronise them and buy their softees and slurpees Every Single Day. But when i heard about the clealiness of the machines, i had to think twice again. Here's how you see it. If your softee is really smooth and not sugar sandy, it means that the machine is really very clean. If there are small unsmooth milk or sugar grains or particles, it seriously require maintenence. Same for McDonalds Ice Cream.

But can we even expect good food standards from 7 eleven at all? Its just a high class MaMa(convenient) shop. Not a reputable food chain with a big A B C hanging outside to mark their hygiene. Now that the chips and coke of 7 Eleven horrify you, what can you buy from them? The oily fried Wontons, Ngor Hiang, Carrot cakes sitting there for the longest time. Don't even think about it, cause i've tried it, and it was another nightmare. Sigh.....
